Kid Cudi has set out to inspire individuals to reach for the stars with the announcement he has a memoir on the way.

On Friday (December 15) The Man On the Moon rapper took to X (formerly Twitter) where he dished about the forthcoming book, an account of his journey to stardom.

“My memoir is called CUDI By Scott Ramon Seguro Mescudi,” he began. “My hope is to drop it next year around Sept. Goin thru my life and the journey its been so far is bringing me so much peace just talkin about certain things and how they made me feel.

“Moments, people, aging, the fun, the madness, the darkness, such a beautiful ride. I know this book will inspire you to live your life to the fullest every chance you get, reach for your dreams and work hard to bring them to reality, and keep God close.”KID CUDI SAYS MEMOIR IS COMING

Cudi continued: “Because thru all the ups and downs Hes the one thats never left you alone. [praying hands, stars, red hearts emoji]. My hope is that after u read this, you’ll have the confidents to bet on yourself, and strive to live life as a better human on this planet and spread love.”

The news comes on the heels of Cudi announcing that he’d been tapped to star in and produce renowned animated shorts creator Jeron Braxtonan’s directorial debut, which is set in a dystopian future.

Per Deadline, the rapper/actor will appear in the new animated monster movie titled Slime, which will also feature writing from Brian Ash, co-executive producer of The Boondocks, Black Dynamite: The Animated Series and Freaknik: The Musical.

The film, which is being co-produced by Cudi’s Mad Solar production company, will follow Muna, an optimistic young woman who has fallen on hard times and signs up for a paid medical trial. After unknowingly being injected with an unspecified creature’s slime, she’s subjected to trippy visions and develops uncontrollable powers.

Eventually becoming the prey herself, in a desperate move of self-preservation Muna kidnaps Glenn (Kid Cudi), a lab worker from the mega-corporation who experimented on her. Together, they venture off into the unknown in search of a cure.

“I’m always looking for what’s new and always trying to elevate what we know about music, film, TV, and animation. Jeron is a powerhouse creative at the forefront of culture, pushing boundaries with everything he does. I’m grateful to have him on the team and am ready to see him bring Slime to life. Mad Solar, we here,” Cudi said in a statement.

“I’m extremely excited to bring Slime to life and super appreciative to everyone around me who helped make this possible,” added Braxton. “Animation has always been an opportunity for me to shift perspective on issues affecting Americans and more explicitly the black diaspora, and now we can use the genre of horror and cutting-edge technology to create an insane evolution for the medium.”

Cudi first flexed his animation chops in 2022, by joining forces with Kenya Barris for the animated Netflix special Entergalactic, for which earned an Emmy nomination.
