Neo-soul icon Erykah Badu Reveals Dates for Her 25th Anniversary ‘Mama’s Gun’ U.S. Fall 2025 Tour, and fans across the country are gearing up for what promises to be one of the year’s most unforgettable musical experiences.
A Celebration of “Mama’s Gun”
On Monday, July 28, Erykah Badu announced a special U.S. tour to mark the 25th anniversary of her groundbreaking 2000 sophomore album, Mama’s Gun. Titled Mama’s Gun ’25: The Return of Automatic Slim, the tour will kick off on October 3 at the iconic Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles.
From there, Badu will bring her soulful magic to major cities including Las Vegas, Boston, Detroit, Cincinnati, Atlanta, Houston, Chicago, Brooklyn, and Nashville, before wrapping up on December 10 with a grand finale in her hometown of Dallas at the Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory.
Beloved Classics Live on Stage
The 16-date tour will showcase some of Badu’s most cherished hits, including the Grammy-nominated “Bag Lady” and “Didn’t Cha Know?” along with fan favorites like “Cleva,” “… & On,” and “Booty.”
Tickets will first be available through a Live Nation pre-sale starting Wednesday, July 30, at 10 a.m. local time (promo code: LIGHTS). The general public can purchase tickets beginning Friday, August 1, at 10 a.m.
What’s Next for Badu
Before embarking on the Mama’s Gun anniversary tour, Badu will join forces with The Alchemist on the Abi & Alan Tour in support of their upcoming collaborative album. While the release date for the project hasn’t been revealed yet, this new LP will mark Badu’s first since her acclaimed New Amerykah Part Two (Return of the Ankh) in 2010. The Abi & Alan Tour kicks off August 8 in Seattle and runs through August 24 in Austin, Texas.
